Father and Son Work Together to Build Donation Boxes from Old Propellers

8 year old Nathan interviews his father, Hans, regarding volunteering at the North Cascades Vintage Aircraft Museum.

Hans is building stands for donation boxes out of old propellers.  Hans explains that he cuts the propeller in half and places the propeller on a platform to keep it upright.  Hans then built a bracket and fixed it to the tip of the propeller blade, then mounted the box on the bracket.  “I think they’re awesome and I hope people fill them with lots of money,” Nathan says.

We have a wide range of volunteer opportunities at the museum including giving tours, aircraft detailing, historical research, creative displays, event coordinating, marketing, and administration!
